I’m Joe Davis and like, I know, so many of us, so excited to get this event going. Eleven weeks from today – the All-Star game returns to Dodger Stadium for the first time since 1980.

The Wait is Over

It has been 42 years since L.A. hosted the All-Star game.
The 2020 World Champions, along with MLB, announced the fan event schedule for the All-Star weekend five hours before the Dodgers faced the San Francisco Giants at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3rd. The Dodgers will host the long-awaited event from Friday, July 15th to Tuesday, July 19th.
How did we get here?
The Boys in Blue were to host and take part in the 2020 All-Star game at Dodger Stadium. The entire event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 2021 saw the return of the mega event in Colorado at Coors Field.

Los Angeles-Hollywood aka Tinsel Town is getting ready to host the greatest and fiercest All-Star extravaganza in history.
League and team executives, government officials, and a star-studded cast of players with a combined 25 All-Star Game appearances were among those present at the event’s launch.

Players from the Los Angeles Dodgers share their thoughts on the upcoming All-Star Week of Activities.
Kershaw hopes to make it in the lineup for the All-Star game and stated,
“This is a great place to play and I think everybody knows that. All the road teams that come in and get to play here say what a great place Dodger Stadium is and we are excited to share it.”
Past All-Star experience thoughts, “I think when you are in that clubhouse with those guys, it’s a special thing. When you are there you just want to soak it in and enjoy it. It’s a good time.”
Mookie Betts said that he Is starting to learn that Los Angeles is a “Big Party Town” and in preparation for All-Star week he commented,
“This is all gonna be new to me. For all the fans out there, I’m going to be enjoying this for the first time just like you guys.”

“It’s a special moment. I’m excited. If I make it [on the All-Star Roster], someone will customize a suit for me and I’ll wear it. I’m feeling good and it would mean a lot, [it’s] very special to play in any All-Star Game and to play for the hometown in Los Angeles would mean even more.”

Los Angeles has three iconic locations that will feature All-Star events: Dodger Stadium, L.A. Live, and the Santa Monica Pier.
Throughout All-Star week plans are in place to honor Jackie Robinson for being the first Black baseball player on the pro baseball field.

- MLB 2022 Draft at MLS Live in DTLA. The first round is scheduled for Sunday night, July 17th on Xbox Plaza in the heart of L.A. Live and will be televised on MLB Network.

- The T-Mobile Home Run Derby headlines Gatorade All-Star Workout Day at Dodger Stadium.

All-Star Red Carpet Show – Cost: Free
- All-Star Red Carpet Show presented by Mastercard
- MLB Live – Fans can see the 2022 MLB All-Stars and their families style and profile on the Red Carpet. The event will go from Xbox Plaza onto Chick Hearn Court. Players will walk the carpet before going on to Dodger Stadium.
